Managing Agents
Monitor your deployed CastellanAI agents and enroll new devices.
The Customer Portal Agents page is for monitoring agent status and enrolling new agents. To configure, control, or edit agent settings, use the Security Dashboard.
Viewing Agents
From the portal dashboard, click Agents to see all registered agents.
Agent Status
| Status | Indicator | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Connected | 🟢 Green | Agent is online and sending events |
| Disconnected | ⚫ Gray | Agent hasn't communicated recently |
| Pending | 🟡 Yellow | Agent registered but not yet configured |
| Error | 🔴 Red | Agent reporting connection issues |

Agent is healthy and operational
- Receiving security events
- Heartbeat within last 30 seconds
- No action required
Agent has lost connection
Common causes:
- Endpoint is powered off
- Network connectivity issues
- Agent service stopped
- Firewall blocking connections
Investigate agents disconnected for more than 5 minutes.
Agent awaiting configuration
The agent has been enrolled but hasn't connected yet.
- Check agent installation completed
- Verify network connectivity
- Review agent logs for errors
Agent experiencing issues
Requires immediate attention:
- Authentication failures
- Configuration problems
- Service crashes
Agent Details
Click on any agent to view detailed information:

Adding a New Agent
Quick Add Process
- Click + Add Agent (or Install Agent in Quick Actions)
- Select your platform (Windows/Linux/macOS)
- Download the installer
- Copy your Customer ID and Hub URL
- Install on your endpoint

Removing an Agent
🗑️ How to Remove an Agent
- Click on the agent you want to remove
- Click Delete Agent
- Confirm the removal
Removing an agent from the portal doesn't uninstall it from the endpoint. You'll need to uninstall the agent software separately.
